Semen Gresik Distributes 1,500 Cloth Masks to Rembang Residents
Rembang, October 11, 2020 - PT Semen Gresik (SG), as part of PT Semen Indonesia Group (SIG), distributed 1,500 masks to communities around terminals and traditional markets in Rembang Regency, Thursday ( 8/10).
Chairman of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Task Force for Controlling Covid-19 for the Work Area of Rembang Regency Gatot Mardiana said the masks were distributed at Tegaldowo Village Public Transport Bus Station and Tegaldowo Village Traditional Market-Gunem Sub-district, as well as Traditional Markets in Sulang Sub-district, Rembang Sub-district, Rembang Regency.
Gatot added that this activity aimed to increase public awareness of the importance of preventing the transmission of Covid-19, especially for the users of the bus station and traditional markets. "Social activities of Adapting to New Habits (ANH) in Rembang Regency, so that community interaction with SOE increases as well as builds caring for others. The allocation of 1,500 masks was provided by the SOE donor, namely PT Semen Indonesia Group," said Gatot in his press statement, Sunday (11/10).
According to him, the social campaign of ANH by the SOE Task Force for Controlling Covid-19 in the Work Area of Rembang Regency is not the only time it has been carried out. Previously, tens of thousands of medical masks or cloth masks had been distributed to the local community. Meanwhile, the next socialization program will be carried out in accordance with the duties and functions of the SOE Task Force for Controlling Covid-19 in the Work Area of Rembang Regency.
"Socialization and assistance will be carried out periodically according to community needs. We will always support Adapting to New Habits of the residents of Rembang Regency," he said. This activity is part of the Socialization of adapting to New Habits (ANH) Program conducted by the Ministry of SOE. A total of 500 thousand cloth masks were distributed in 34 provinces from October 3-8, 2020.
